This is a great place for anyone struggling with dementia. The staff are warm and friendly and its a brand new place and clean every time my wife and I visit. The past 6 months have been great for my Mom and she is much happier now. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for care of a family member.

I love this facility. I needed to quickly find a safe place for my husband as we were living in Florida. I wanted to move back by family and the staff was a pleasure to work with. We decided on Peregrine after our daughter toured the facility. We did everything be email and phone and they worked hard with the social worker at the facility in Florida to help me get everything in place so I could move my husband. From the moment we walked in the staff was introducing themselves to us and everyone was so welcoming. As we were moving my husband into his room he remarked we got him a really nice hotel room!
This has been an extremely hard and stressful time for me and the staff has been very supportive. Everyone is so friendly. I can see the improvement in my husband as he is relaxed and happy. The facility is very clean, he loves the food and there are activities to keep him busy. I could not be happier.

Peregrine Colonie has exceeded my expectations. The staff are genuinely caring, competent, friendly, and always on top of everything. They treat my husband (and myself) with dignity and respect. Each staff member, regardless of their position, is willing to help any resident or family member no matter the situation. I cant say enough good things about the health care aides, they are truly angels with a very difficult job that they perform with care and compassion. Kudos to the administration, operations, activities, food service, and medical departments. Every time I enter the facility I am welcomed and made to feel like I am a part of this community.
The facility is well maintained, very clean, and the operations director and his team couldn’t be more accommodating. The activities are well done and it is obvious that a lot of thought and consideration goes into each activity. The food is great (my husband loves his snacks too) and the menu is diverse. The chef solicits suggestions for menu options and provides a quality product. The staff in the medical department are always there to help. They take great care with all the residents. Peregrine Colonie has a diverse population, which includes a large number of men. The “sports room” has become a hit with my husband and other residents. I am there everyday and can say with absolute certainty that this place is great and my husband and I are very comfortable being part of this community.
No one wants to be on this journey or to have to make a decision to place their loved one in a facility. However, since I had to make that decision, this facility was an excellent choice for both my husband and I. I highly recommend Peregrine Colonie.
